Empower Through esthetics
A Summer Mentorship Experience for Future Beauty Professionals
Empower through Esthetics is an 8-week summer mentorship program designed for high school junior and seniors (ages 6-18) who ae currently enrolled in a beauty program or plan to attend beauty school after graduation. This hands-on experience introduced students to the world of esthetics while building confidence, life skills, and career readiness in a supportive, inspiring environment.
Thanks to a grant awarded by the City of Toledo, this program is offered at no cost to selected participants. Our mission is to make career exploration and mentorship accessible for motivated youth in our community who are passionate about the beauty and wellness industry.
Hosted at Lockett, Lash Studio, the program blends real world industry exposure with guided workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and interactive activities that help students explore their passion and prepare for a future in esthetics.
Program Highlights:
- Intro to esthetics, skincare, and lash artistry
- Career readiness and entrepreneurship training
- Confidence-building workshops and goal setting
- Guest-speakers from beauty pros and local business owners
- Community service and giving-back projects
- Journaling, self-reflection, and positive affirmations
- Certificate of completion at the end of the program
